Frog and Lily Pad
I'm not going to lie, this wasn't may favorite piece to begin with. I loved the colors and idea but hated the sketch of the frog. It was huge and looked bloated, a lot like the frogs I use to pull out of the yacht club pool while lifeguarding. Once I got started I re-drew the frog and began to love this piece. My favorite part is the hand embroidered couch stitch around the dragonflies and turtle. It creates a clean, dynamic border that you don't get with just applique or fusing.
